1938-52 King's Heads ½d to 3/- mint collection (hundreds) on Godden leaves. Plate blocks, flaws and retouches, re-entries, paper variants, watermark varieties; a fine old-fashioned collection, beautifully written up. Condition generally good but a handful of foxed blocks noted and several with stained hinges; usually the blocks are hinged leaving a good proportion of the stamps unmounted. 1d scarlet broken ribbon pair and pane with inverted watermark, 3d first fine paper Plate 138 and 139 blocks, 9d inverted watermark block of four with two unmounted, 5d coarse paper Plate 91 and 96 blocks, 2/- Plate blocks of fifteen with R12/3 flaw and retouch; the main value in the many further Plate and variety blocks.
