Description
1937-49 mainly mint on leaves, part of several collections with some catalogued items removed at an earlier date. A good number of positional varieties in flaws and multiples, also Plate blocks, mostly written up with some well illustrated. Includes ½d ‘ISI.’ in mint strip, variety unmounted, and another in a mint block with the variety unmounted; 1d ‘DI’ flaw corrected blocks (2); 1d carmine Plate block of six with R10/5 serrated edge, the lower block of four with the stamps unmounted; two positional examples of an interesting ‘smear’ flaw across the base of R9/3-4 of the 1d red Plate 3; 6d block with broken ‘E’ repaired, and two blocks with R3/5 damaged ‘LE’ and repair. Generally an interesting collection and well worth inspection
