Postal History. &nbsp;1948 envelope to Palestine bearing 1pi and 2pi, each cancelled with violet cachet HQ 3 CAMP/ DATE…../ STAFFS (SPECIAL) CYPRUS with date 24 JUL 1948 added by separate handstamp. &nbsp;This handstamp was applied at the camp (for illegal Jewish immigrants) before arrival at the local Post Office, where XYLOTYMBOU CDS (Proud D2) of 29 JY was used to cancel the 2pi only. &nbsp;Small part of backflap missing, minor creasing, arrival CDS on reverse. &nbsp;A fine and scarce cover
