Sale number: 5963 The second sale in the Academic series features a mix of multiples, varieties and some startling rarities. There are a great many specialist items, of interest to the KG VI and single-country collector alike. The lots in these sales represent over forty years of focussed buying in auctions major and minor, and from dealers large and small, including some well-known items that have not been available to the market for decades . The important range of multiples are usually there for a specific reason; imprint or Plate blocks, multiples from identified printings or with varieties, listed and unlisted, with some great rarities such as the Grenada 2½d Plate block, the existence of which will come as a surprise to many. However, there are also plenty of basic stamps and straightforward multiples, reasonably estimated and reserved, to suit all pockets.

1937-50 KG VI collection of blocks on leaves, fine large part o.g., either one or two stamps in each unmounted. &nbsp;The 1938 set consists of top left Plate blocks of the original printings, very fresh and fine for these; each showing the R1/1 and 2/1 left frames bent at the top. &nbsp;The 1950 10r has one stamp with a small thin. &nbsp;SG 249-90
