China is represented by classic Large Dragons, Dowagers, Red Revenues and Local Posts, while the People’s Republic section includes the Mei Lan-Fang miniature sheets, the 1967 Poems of Mao set and the 1980 Year of the Monkey stamp. 1962-66 group of varieties and errors, comprising 5c horizontal pair with sheet number showing perforation shift, 10c block of 9 showing shift of orange to left, 10c half sheet of 50 with cylinder numbers showing black ink smudges on columns 6 and 9, 15c with orange omitted, 20c with orange omitted (gum disturbance - cat £1500), 30c yellow omitted, and 30c block of 4 with upward shift of pink, very mixed cond with some toning noted, close inspection strongly recommended.
