Highlights include Burma Japanese Occupation “Peacock” overprints and a rare cover from Kalaw in the Shan States addressed to Mrs G. Childers at an internment camp in Tavoy, a fascinating item of great rarity with excellent provenance, formerly in the Gerald Davis collection.</p><p>Other notable sections include classic Ceylon “Pence” and “Cents” issues with blocks, multiples, errors and Officials, plus a unique De La Rue appendix sheet for the Edward VIII Telegraph stamps bearing fifteen unadopted imperforate colour trials. China is represented by classic Large Dragons, Dowagers, Red Revenues and Local Posts, while the People’s Republic section includes the Mei Lan-Fang miniature sheets, the 1967 Poems of Mao set and the 1980 Year of the Monkey stamp. <table><tbody><tr><td>Official. 1911-30, Type O1 opt, range of eight complete unused sheets of 84 (14x6), comprising Wmk "B" 2ch red (with listed inverted letter varieties - SG O6/b/c/d), Wmk "A" 5ca olive-bistre (with listed inverted letter varieties - SG O14/b/c/d), 6ca orange-brown x2 (one with listed inverted letter varieties - SG O15/d/e/f, the other from an earlier setting with SG O15e on one position only, but exceptionally showing "S S" inverted at R1/1 and UNLISTED thus), ½ch x2 (reddish violet and reddish lilac, each with "CHUCRRAM" at R5/6 - SG O17/g, O17a/g), 10ca pink (with "O" inverted - SG O18/d), and Wmk "C" 5ca olive-bistre (with listed inverted letter varieties - SG O23/c/d/e). The 6ca sheet wth the unlisted variety slightly affected by damp, and the SG O14 sheet with separation, otherwise mostly very fine.
