China is represented by classic Large Dragons, Dowagers, Red Revenues and Local Posts, while the People’s Republic section includes the Mei Lan-Fang miniature sheets, the 1967 Poems of Mao set and the 1980 Year of the Monkey stamp. 1923 large registered envelope, endorsed ‘’Insured for rupees two thousand only.'' Franked on reverse by KGV 1a chocolate (5), 2a purple (15) & 8a bright mauve, tied by numerous strikes from Gwalior State cds for 28 APR 23, with wax seals and string, and Bombay G.P.O arrival for 1 MAY, minor creases and stains, still an impressive cover.
