1952 set of twelve affixed to Post Office notice on thick card (249 x 222mm), with printed heading ‘Tristan da Cunha Postage Stamps/ FIRST ISSUE‘, each stamp locally handstamped SPECIMEN (18 x 2mm). Insignificant traces of soiling, nevertheless of very fine appearance. An important item, very rare, being one of two known. Certified by the BPA in 1993 but the Certificate has been lost. SG 1-12
