<p>1942 1/- black and brown perf 13 x 11¾. &nbsp;Top right corner block of nine with various initials and other marks scratched on the selvedge right of R1/10. &nbsp;(These marks are believed to have been made on the extremities of the plates by inexperienced post-wartime staff, possibly testing a newly-sharpened burin or some such procedure, not necessarily realising that such scratches would show up on the sheet margins.) &nbsp;The initials include ‘CC’ twice, once crossed through. &nbsp;Interesting. &nbsp;SG 145a</p>
