1840 2d Pale blue Pl.1. Very fine used large four margin example lettered OD, neatly tied to a neat envelope by a Dundalk “187“ Irish numeral leaving a clear profile. Sent from Dundalk to Taunton and backstamped by a blue Dundalk dispatch cds for MY.26.1846, a red Dublin transit datestamp for MY.27.1846, and a black Taunton arrival cds for MY.28.1846. Adhesive lifted for inspection and replaced in original position. A lovely example of this scarce cancellation on this issue. Spec. DS6xc. Cat. £5500. 2001 BPA Cert.
