Comet plane crash envelope, registered, most stamps washed off with one remaining 1948-52, perf 17½x18, $1, indistinct postmark due to the immersion in water, the front bearing double-lined 'DAMAGED 1N COMET/AIRCRAFT CRASH' cachet in purple (Nierinck540110c).
