USA: 1892 two covers and one postcard, all carried on ''S.S. Eider'' which ran around near St. Catherine's Point, close to the Isle of Wight including printed envelope from New York to Germany with stamps floated off bearing two-line German cachet in violet, 2ct green printed stationery envelope to London with small 'Saved from wreck of s.s. ''Eider''' boxed h/s and officially sealed label affixed on reverse, lastly 1ct black postcard to Vienna, stamp floated off with similar marking as before but in German with 'Franco' cachet in black informing the postal authorities that the postage had been paid despite the absence of a stamp, an interesting trio.
