1885-91 1d claret pair and adjoining bisect, just tied by cork cancel to envelope to Abergavenny, with double-ring CDS alongside (date unclear); arrival CDS of SP 4 91 on reverse, which is endorsed 'letter dated July 1 1891'. Faults, mainly peripheral, including some minor foxing (not affecting the bisect), still a good and very scarce cover. Ex Harmers, Lot 244, 29.2.96; RPS Certificate (1957). SG 8, 8a, £4000
