1944 Health Soldier and Child small group with 2d + 1d 'Feathers in hat' block, and 7 FDCs including Bison Exchange cover addressed to the USA, Kamo CDS. A fine collection of the 1947 Eros issue with a photograph of an early (nearly square) design by James Berry, a later sketch by him on tracing paper (very similar to issued design), and a photo of him at work on the 2d + 1d; nine illustrated FDCs, and a study of flaws and sheet markings. This includes a strip of four ½ds with minor progressive offset, the arrow guides, a block of ½ds with two 'jumbo' stamps, a further lightly hinged block with inverted watermark, two 1d blocks with marginal mis-perfs, block with sheet value in wrong position, erased and corrected, and sheet value with albino impression only and extra albino impressions, single and double
