Interesting thematic collection of stamps, postcards, and postal history related to the Moroccan Crises 1905-1911. The majority of items being postcards with military scenes, soldiers, e.g. Senegalese troops mounting an assault at Taza etc (158 cards in all), many used with French colonial overprints and Maroc issues, also some with GB "Morocco Agencies" stamps, as well as Spanish and German overprints. The postal history is also diverse with better items such as a GB Registered Letter overprinted "Morocco Agencies" "30 Centimos" sent from Rabat to the chargé d'affaires of the British Legation at Tangier, etc. (16 covers). Also a parallel stamp collection of Moroccan stamp issues. A fascinating insight into the competing imperial contest for influence in Morocco.
