POSTAL HISTORY: 1901 envelope to Lamu singularly franked by India 1882-90 1a brown-purple tied by Mombasa cds for 3 JU 1901 and further strike at top for 5 JUL, with Lamu arrival for 17 JU, fine; with Indian stamps of this period used in British East Africa are incredibly rare with very few covers recorded!
