POSTAL HISTORY: Four albums and loose glassines, collections of single-ring cds on covers, cards and postal stationery, e.g. Batticota (1 FE 1898) on uprated postal envelope to USA, Jaffna Kachcheri (9 SP 1898) on postcard to Columbo, postcard of Mount Lavinia Hotel with Galkissay cds (26 JA 1902) sent from a visiting member of HMS Amphitrite. Also numerals and letter cancels on stamps and covers, range of postcards used to illustrate the collection (31), collection of slogan and meter mail, small collection of “Tamil Arasu” postal service items (from 1961), etc. Many scarcer marks and usages, a difficult collection to replicate, mixed condition as you would expect (hundreds)
