1840 Gum and paper trials. Very fine strip of three endorsed by Joshua Bacon and L. de Nicola "og 17lb/CaPo" referring to ordinary gum on 17lb paper with added calcium and Potassium. A fine example of this scarce early trial prior to the introduction of the 1d black and 2d blue.
