<p>POSTAL HISTORY: 1916 5m red Postal Stationery envelope to Ireland cancelled by El Fasher cds for 5 SP, backstamped by Khartoum d/s for SP 18, scarce, a very early date for this post office which opened only a few days/weeks prior. Ex Ted Proud. plus 1931 stampless O.S.G.S. envelope 'RETURNED PAID LETTER' (R.L.O. No 2/1930) addressed to London cancelled by "KHARTOUM 1 DEC 31" cds, a scarce usage.</p>
