1867 1d Reddish-lilac (Wmk. Anchor 18mm). Unused example sent on cover locally within Acton with an Acton cds alongside adhesive for MR.14.1911. Probably due to the exceptional late usage the Post Office deemed this invalid for postage and a large handstruck "2d" was applied denoting postage due. An obvious philatelic inspired usage, the stamp also having been severed in two prior to affixing on the cover, most unusual.
