POSTAL HISTORY: 1925 pair of Airmail covers to Bagdad Iraq, first cover franked by 1922-23 3d violet (as singles), fraudulently re-used on this cover with faint impressions of the parcel cancels still evident on the adhesives underneath the Baile Atha Cliath cds for 8 SP 1925, such a re-usage went apparently unnoticed by the Post Office, second cover franked by 1s olive-bistre tied by same cds dated 28 SP 1925, a rare single franking, some imperfections still an interesting and scarce pairing.
