1903 (3 DEC) die proof in black on glazed card (92 x 60mm) for the undenominated keyplate used for the 1903 (and later) KEVII 2s to £1 high values, dated in blue at upper left and stamped 'BEFORE/HARDENING' at upper right. A rare and important proof, in very fine condition. Ex Duveen (RL Basle 30/10/1976, lot 3484).
