Sixty-third Balloon of the Siege: 1871 printed Gazette des Absents, lettersheet to Spa, Belgium franked by Napoleon III 30c Empire, tied by Star mark and Paris Place de la Bourse cds for 18 Jan, carried by the Balloon 'General Bourbaki' which departed Paris on 20 Jan, backstamped with France despatch mark and Spa, Belgium arrival for 25 Jan, a fine and attractive item sent a week prior to the French surrender and the end of the Siege.
