Fifty-ninth Balloon of the Siege: 1871 entire letter to Madam Gadala, Arcachon, par Bordeaux, franked by Napoleon III 20c Empire, neatly struck by red official cds for 12 Jan, carried by the Balloon 'General Faidherbe', which departed Paris on 13 Jan, backstamped with Bordeaux and Arcachon arrival marks for 15 Jan, archival fold, still an attractive cover.
