Nyasaland-Rhodesia Field Force: 1916-18 collection of covers, comprising Stamped and Stampless 'On Active Service' soldier's letters, with various censor markings and base markings including: 1916 stampless cover addressed to London from Abercorn with boxed POSTAGE FREE/ BASE 9 N, Rhodesia PASSED BY CENSOR h/s in violet, 1917 Nyasaland postal stationary envelope addressed to Birmingham from Songea with manuscript censor in pencil, 1917 registered envelope addressed to Limbe and forwarded to Cape Town franked by 1d optd 'NF' block of four, bearing FPO 8 and FPO 9 marks, generally fine condition, an interesting lot for the specialist.
