1840 1d Black Pl.1b. Very fine used four margin example lettered EK neatly tied to cover by a red MC, sent from Norwich to Doncaster and backstamped with Norwich cds for AU.5.1840. The stamp clearly shows shifted check letters from the 1a state caused by a twisted re-entry, this variety only affecting EK and GK. Most attractive. Spec. AS5d
