1886 Overseas mail. Very fine cover to Lifu, Loyalty Islands, prepaid by four 1d lilac (Die II) cancelled by London S.E. duplexes for AU.19.1886. Backstamped in Paris and Noumea for AU.21 & OC.12.1886 respectively. A rare destination item, Lifu is the principal island of the Loyalty Islands archipelago sitting just to the east of the French territory of New Caledonia, N.E. of Australia.
