1929 Postal Union Congress valuable specialized collection in blue SG Universal album, including mint and used sets to £1 plus sideways and inverted watermark sets including 2½d superb u/m and fine used, £1 overprinted 'SPECIMEN' and £1 block of 4 used on piece, ½d to 2½d on FDC, and also on 3 covers cancelled 'POSTAL UNION CONGRESS-LONDON 10 MY 29' plus set on registered Glasgow FDC. The set in bottom margin 'K29' control strips on 4 registered covers cancelled 'SE 20 10 MY 29' and a set with forged cancellation, Major varieties 1d broken wreath pl1 and pl4, 'CO' joined '1829 for 1929', 1½d '1829 for 1929' in positional mint blocks with 1½d 'Q' for 'O' in 'Union' in booklet pane of 6. ½d, 1d and 1½d coli pairs each with leader. ½d u/m block of 30 (6 x 5) showing plate 2, R 13/9 'CO' joined, plus two used singles. Booklets 2s Punch (103), 3s Burgoyne's (168) 3s Prudential (172), booklet panes upright and inverted watermarks mint and upright used, selection of 2 booklet labels plus 2 stamps and assorted covers.
