1857 envelope addressed to Scotland bearing a four margins imperf. (1d) red tied by barred numeral '17' cancellation of COUVA, alongside light red 'PAID AT TRINIDAD' crowned-circle handstamp and a red 'PAID 5 FE 1858' London arrival cds and endorsed at the lower left 'Pre-paid', the reverse with '17' DE 28 1857' (Couva) ds and a 'Glasgow FE 6 58' arrival cancel. A fine and scarce cover from this village, the 1d stamp paying the internal postage within Trinidad.
