1896 "Half Penny" on 7½d on 2d pale blue, perf 12x11, type 14 typewritten surcharge in violet with (black) Tongan surcharge reading downwards, horizontal pair, the right stamp variety "Stops instead of hyphens", the left stamp variety "Stop after "Penny" but COLON after Half", large part o.g. Minor blemishes as often with this issue (traces of toning and backing adhesion, left stamp with wrinkle), but likely to be a unique piece, with the 'colon' variety not otherwise recorded, RPS certificate (1999) Ex Thetford  SG 37Ad,var  £2,200++
