1897 long envelope addressed to "A.D. Gilmer, Edinburgh" bearing 1896-7 1d scarlet and emerald (die II), strip of five, two strips of three and a single paying the 1/- rate, all cancelled with Salisbury cds for 'MR.29.97', the reverse with Edinburgh arrival for 'MY.8.97'; stamps all effected by oxidisation and a vertical fold through perforations only on strip of five. Fine. SG 42
