1941 envelope annotated ‘On Active Service’ and sent by Major Saifuddin Khan of the First Hyderabad Infantry addressed C/o Base Postal Depot, Bombay, India bearing 1937-40 25c tied by “FPO 34/16 AUG 41’ cds, showing triangular British ‘PASSED BY/CENSOR/2750’ and smaller “FIELD/CENSOR” marks, the reverse with dispatch and arrival cancels. Some peripheral faults, nevertheless a most unusual cover. Scarce. SG 48.
