1906 printed 'M.J. Connell' cover to Seattle, USA, franked by 1904-06 Wmk MCA 5c (pair), and 1903 Wmk CA 10c (5, two pairs and a single), carried by SS 'Aki Maru' and cancelled in transit by four strikes of 'MOJI/31.7.06/JAPAN' cds with boxed 'PAQUEBOT' H/S below (Hosking 3229, rated 'rare'). Backstamped with Seattle 'AUG 16 1906' arrival machine cancel. Slight cover faults (slightly reduced at either end, flap missing), still really fine condition for such a rare and dramatic cover. SG 67, 79.
