1839 (19 Dec) entire addressed to Kirkcaldy sent during the experimental period, front panel bearing handstruck "4", most unusual as most letters sent during this period ''4'' was done in manuscript. Reverse bearing ''DERRY" dispatch mark dated DE 19 1836, (date slug "9" inverted), and arrival mark in red dated DEC 21 1839. Filing creases, otherwise fine, a scarce and presentable item.
