Collection of Rye sub-offices (1806-1956) neatly written-up and arranged on sixty-six album leaves comprising Beckley, Brede, Icklesham, Iden, Northiam with "NORTHIAM/56" horseshoe/mileage hs (5, three in black and two in blue), Playden, Peasmarsh with 1829 EL bearing incorrect spelling "PEARSMARSH/60" mileage hs in blue, 1837 EL bearing italic "PEASMARSH/PENNY POST" hs in black, 1859 (15 Sept) mourning envelope (opened for display) addressed to Long Island, North America franked by 1855-57, wmk Medium Garter, 4d strip of three cancelled with Staplehurst sideways duplex and "21/cents" in red alongside, the reverse with two strikes of the Peasmarch undated circle, Wittersham and Winchelsea and a good range of other related markings/postmarks.
