1894 Matabele Campaign stampless cover to England endorsed in manuscript ''Matabeleland no stamps available'', tied by GUBULAWAYO cds dated FE 16 '9'4. Twice taxed by 6d 'postage due' handstamp in black. Reverse bearing Vryburg transit mark dated MR 5 94 and London arrival mark dated MR 27 94.  Some creasing to cover and age related wear, nevertheless a fine and scarce item.
