1894 (NO 15) large part registered envelope to Colchester, re-addressed to Witham, bearing 1894 (June-Oct) '1' on left half of 2d grey-green and carmine, Opobo bisect provisional with type 16 surcharge in red, variety "DOUBLE SURCHARGE", tied by despatch cds. Various transit cancels, Witham (27.12) arrival backstamp; vertical fold not affesting adhesive and reduced at top (where the rest of the franking was originally placed).
