Description
1864 entire from Livorno to Rome, exceptional mixed franking Papal State-Italy bearing 10c. pair DLR printing of Kingdom of Italy (cancelled by Livorno '21 Dic 64' cds), to pay the "Italian rate" until the border of the Papal State and two different 1 Bajocco (grey-green and dark green) to pay the internal Papal State rate. In Rome at first cover was taxed for "6", then un-taxed considering valid the two 1baj. stamps that were then cancelled with four pen ink marks together with figure "6" by other two pen marks. The reverse with Roma '23 Dec 64' cds. A couple of usual filing creases and minor faults, nevertheless a huge rarity. With three detailed certificates A. Diena (1976), L. Raybaudi (1977) and S.
