1855 entire letter addressed to Cheshire, England (via Southampton) bearing ½a. blue (Die II) & 4a. indigo and red 1st printing (Head Die I. Frame Die I) (2) making up the ½ oz. packet letter rate of 8a.+ Inland rate. All cute to shape each lightly tied by black diamond of dots cancels. Surface bearing ''INDIA PAID'' handstamp in red and London "PAID" tombstone arrival mark dated 'AP 21 1855'. Reverse bearing KARACEE dispatch mark dated 'MAR 55' and Birkenhead arrival mark in blue dated 'AP 21 1855' Slight age related wear and creasing to entire, nevertheless a still an attractive item.
