1892 De La Rue Die Proof for large format 'Seal of Colony' vignette, in black on glazed card with uncleared surrounds. Endorsed 'BEFORE HARDENING' and dated '2 FEB 92'. The proof differs from the final issued design in that the Seahorse's tail is above the waterline. Very fine and rare.
