Awali.  1948-60 covers (20), mixed commercial and philatelic, latter with some amazing frankings including local covers with 1951 1½a block of twenty and 2½a blocks of six (one stamp scratched) and four plus a pair; 1951 1½a strip of three plus single on commercial cover to UK; cover to UK with 6a an additional 6a, endorsed 'For "EXPRESS" Service (G.P.O.) in U.K.', a most unusual 'pre-payment' for an Express service; 1956 cover to UK with 12a tied by fine strike of the rare oval violet REGISTERED/AWALI, BAHRAIN cancel.  An interesting lot worth careful inspection
