Censor covers. 1940-5 group of four airmail covers plus piece: 1940 to USA, apparently underpaid with 'By Air Mail' cancelled by red bars, boxed Bahrain Censor on reverse; 1941 airmail cover to American Legation in Baghdad from CASOC (ARAMCO) at 'Bahrein Island' with Saudi adhesives, cancelled KHOBAR 15.11.41, boxed Bahrain Censor and (Arabic) 'allowed to pass without censorship', scarce diplomatic mail; a similar but faulty envelope (1944-5 period) ex Aramco at Bahrein to APO 795 in NY, which was actually at Khurramshar in Iran, censored in Nigeria (the 'Horseshoe' mailing route); 1945 US Postal Stationery airmail envelope. with censor tape and cachet, cancelled by AMERICAN BASE FORCES/APO 816 CDS of FEB 25; and a piece with two Bahrain 1½a stamps tied by Base Army Post Office/4 with Cairo censorship
