1856-64 1a brown top marginal imperforate block of four with part sheet inscription on selvedge, unused without gum, the upper right stamp with a tear.  Still of very fine appearance and a rare multiple, RPS Certificate (1992) stating 'proof status'; however this is the variety as listed.  SG 39b, £2800
