The early classic issues are very well represented, with a fine range of Bull’s Eyes including complete sets and multiples, such as the clear impression set (lot 2076) and the impressive 90r horizontal pair (lot 2078). These are complemented by an excellent showing of Slanting Figures, as well as Upright and Vertical Numerals. The section is further enhanced by a notable selection of Zeppelin and early airmail material, including rare airmail covers and destination mail (lots 2140–2152), and an appealing range of proofs, essays and specialised accumulations. 1922-37 Badge issue collection of ‘prominent minor flaws’, ‘minor flaws’ on individual values and ‘rare transient flaws’, on display pages, fully written up. &nbsp;Mostly affecting the frame, which of course has received less attention than the vignette. Some of the ‘minor’ flaws are substantial, such as the ½d Oct. 36 R1/8 large blob below right value, the 1½d R1/10 ‘cotton boll’ and the 5d 1927 R1/8 ‘full beard’; values to 7/6d (2) and a £1 with damage to ‘£’ sign (position not known). &nbsp;A terrific collection, full of interest and with some extremely scarce items
