E. Whicker, the soldier sending the letter, backstamped 'FPO 13' (5 Sep) & 'SABATHU' arrival (23 Sep) with the adhesive in very fine condition. This cover is a newly discovered rarity and a star item of the British Occupation of Baghdad. Not recorded by Khalastchy (2017), this is just the fourth known cover to India, the third known cover bearing SG 5, and the only known ‘Active Service’ envelope of this type.

1938-52 30c multiples mint, mostly unmounted. &nbsp;Perf 13¼ block of four, two corner blocks with both Plate no. 1s under R10/2 and pair with CP1 only, and a further block from lower right corner without number; perf 14 part imprint block of four; perf 13¼ x 13¾ small range including Plate blocks, complete sheet (Plate 5-4) and other good multiples. &nbsp;The interesting 30c purple and brown with multiple blocks (for varieties, see Berrington), with an emphasis on the R10/1 retouch on hill. &nbsp;SG 141-2
