1892 (JA 16) printed 'Langzettel' cover from Port Stanley to USA, correctly franked by 1889-91 4d olive grey-black, tied by 'large squares' cork obliterator (type 1/91), with type F2 despatch cds and 'SOUTHAMPTON / SHIP LETTER' transit cds (FE 20) alongside. Carried aboard the Kosmos steamer 'Herodot' (departed 16 Jan) to Montevideo where it was transferred to the Lamport and Holt steamer 'Hevelius' for onward transmission. Backstamped at New York (FEB 28) and New Haven (FEB 29). Minor cover blemishes (crease at extreme left), still a fine and neat franking. Rare. SG 12&nbsp;
