1937-52 KGVI mint and used collection, housed in three Frank Godden albums and slipcases with basic mint and used sets, with study of 1938-49 issue noting the paper types (chalk surfaced and ordinary), printings, varieties and retouches including: 20c brown-ochre HANDKERCHIEF FLAW, with examples on chalk surfaced paper as single (with typical streaky gum) and in used pair and ordinary paper type in block of four and two singles, part perf SPECIMEN set and imperf proofs of 30c blue in block of six and 75c deep slate-lilac as a pair 1937 Coronation, with shades, 1946 Victory perf ‘SPECIMEN’ set, with listed 30c lamp on mast flaw and other minor plate varieties, 1948 RSW with 9c with line by crown variety, 5r as imprint strip of four and pair, 1952 set to 10r, Postage Due 1951 plate blocks of four set and used set in blocks of four, generally fair to fine condition and interesting lot.
