<p>1941 Cable and Wireless Telegram envelope to D.A.H. Hire, Malta, forwarded in manuscript to ‘HQ Heavy Art. Bde’ with violet elongated oval “MILITARY MAIL DEPT/MALTA” handstamp ‘24 10 41’ inserted in manuscript. Although there was no FPO in Malta until May 1943 the Military Mail Dept functioned partly as an APO, handling telegrams with 3 types of handstamp being recorded. Rare.</p>
