1840 1d Mulready envelope (Forme 2 Stereo A143). Very fine used uncreased example sent on May 9th 1840 from Glasgow to Irvine. Neatly cancelled by a crisp red MC with a boxed Glasgow datestamp on reverse for MY.9.1840 and a lightly struck Irvine arrival datestamp for the 11th. Light peripheral soiling nevertheless a scarce 4th official day of usage example that opens up well for display.&nbsp;
