1855-94(?) balance of essays and reprints on album pages, including 1890 ½a deep red (Spence 71) and vermilion (Spence 72) on yellowish wove, 1894 ½a red on yellowish pelure without underprint (Spence 109), 1855 ½a red on yellowish wove (Spence 125), 1894 ½a dull red on yellowish wove (Spence 127), 1890 1a blue on yellowish wove paper (Spence 29), 1890(?) 1a vermilion on yellowish wove block of 4 (Spence 49) and with ‘Specimen.’ printed on reverse (2, Spence 50), and 1894(?) 1a orange-red on white to yellowish pelure without underprint (2, Spence 54), also two forgeries. Mixed condition, some fine. (14).
